4th INTERNATIONAL FESTIVAL
OF QUILLING 2007
It was a great weekend in Autumn this year, when the Quilling Guild held its International Festival of Quilling, incorporating the AGM. The event was in well-appointed Weston College, near the sea shore at Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, on 11th and 12th August. There are lots of pictures of the quillings on display in our Autumn edition of our magazine, 'Quillers Today'.
The Lord Mayor of Weston Super Mare opened the Festival and was presented with a plaque of Weston's Coat of Arms, quilled by Jane Jenkins.

Quillers gathered from many countries and the competition entries and regional tables were a feast for the eyes!

Her words were inspiring, interesting and amusing. You can read her speech in Quillers Today, Autumn 2007.

Kazuko Inaba made a beautiful picture in a frame. Margaret Haigh modelled Rumpelstiltskin just from quilling strips. Lesley Davies made this delightful quilled box.

The Regional Displays are an important feature of our AGMs. Congratulations to Hampshire for being voted the best display.
The standard in competitions was high, for individual entries and group displays.
Our thanks to members who entered quillings, and all who worked so hard to make the event so enjoyable.
